#TeamHerts Volunteering Annual Conference - Developing Your Volunteer Programme

In these tough times, the voluntary sector needs to unite in order to respond to the challenges in the ever-changing landscape of volunteering. What can organisations do to keep up with GDPR and the role social media is now playing in volunteering recruitment? #TeamHerts Volunteering aims to provide answers in this one-day event, where these challenges will be explored.

Topics will include: the landscape of volunteering, how organisations use volunteers, working with businesses, and much more.

The first half of the day will consist of keynote speakers, such as:

  • Jarina Chouldhury from NCVO
  • Louise Smith from parkrun
  • Suzy Moody from Home-Start Herts

Lunch will be served, and then there will be workshops, focusing on:

  • Maximising Your Story with Facebook
  • GDPR – what next with volunteer information?
  • Equality and Diversity - making sure you are recruiting volunteers from all parts of society

The conference is intended for professionals from charitable organisations, and anyone else who is interested in the conference theme.

Registration will begin at 10:00, with tea and coffee on arrival. Lunch will be served around 12:30, and the first workshops will begin at 13:30. The event will close at 15:30.

There is a £12 charge per delegate for the conference, and payment must be made at the time of booking. Please register for the conference using the 'tickets' link above. When you register, you will be given the option of booking on to two workshops out of the three.
