Anthony joined the North Herts CVS Community Transport Scheme in December 2015.

Since that time, Anthony has given a significant amount of his time, both on weekdays and at weekends to carry out his Volunteer Driver role.

He usually offers 5-7 days a week of his time, and is always happy to consider short notice transport bookings. Anthony is a committed and dedicated volunteer, who never complains and is always willing to help if he is available. He is flexible and understands and accepts changes to his bookings, i.e. cancellations or a change to timings.

In addition, Anthony is happy to take a variety of service users, from more mobile clients to those clients who have a collapsible wheelchair and who require extra support and help once they arrive at their destination. He is a caring man who goes over and above what is expected of him in his role.

Anthony is a totally committed and dedicated Volunteer Driver. He often says to me “keep me busy!”

He is extremely reliable, punctual, organised and he has a very calming and professional manner. All these attributes are perfect for the role of a Volunteer Driver.

Once service user recently commented: “Please can you pass on my thanks to Anthony. I really appreciated all he did for me. He was so good, and so reassuring”.
