Christmas Cheer

Help #TeamHerts combat loneliness in Hertfordshire this Christmas

A recent report, conducted by the Campaign to End Loneliness, has shown that 63% of adults aged 52 or over (3.9 million people) feel lonely some of the time or often.

At Christmas time, loneliness can be particularly challenging for older people who experience loneliness throughout the year.

Want to give something back this Christmas?

At #TeamHerts Volunteering we are organizing a campaign to support older people in the run up to Christmas.

We are looking for volunteers to help older people as a one-off volunteering activity in Hertfordshire to complete a number of Christmas tasks including:

  • Writing Christmas cards
  • Helping older people put Christmas trees and decorations up
  • Delivering meals on wheels or taking elderly people to Christmas parties
  • Wrapping Christmas gifts

If you are able to dedicate a small amount of time to helping your local elderly neighbours this Christmas, then please get in touch with us here: enquiries@teamherts.org or phone: 01462 689409.

Be inspired and make a difference by reading our story to find out how vital the work of volunteers can be in supporting those that need help at Christmas.

If you work with elderly residents in supported living accommodation then please get in touch as we have volunteers ready to help you with Christmas this year, in particular on Saturdays and Sundays. To book a group of volunteers please email: enquiries@teamherts.org or phone: 01462 689 409.
