Hertfordshire County Council and #TeamHerts Volunteering worked together to celebrate Hertfordshire’s Year of Volunteering which launched at Herts County Show on 28th May 2016 and ran until Volunteer's Week in June 2017. A host of activities were organised to support volunteers in finding new opportunities to help the local community and local volunteers were celebrated and rewarded for all their hard work.
W3RT are the joint contract holders and support us with project delivery and development. The trust like North Herts CVS has a wide range of community projects which support and enrich the local area of Watford and Three Rivers.
Community Central St Albans and Volunteer Centre are supporting in the development of Volunteer Coordinator Network Forums. As a CVS and Volunteer Centre they run a range of projects and services for the population of St Albans and the neighbouring area.
Both organisations are supporting with the general running of the projects and helping to develop the project further.
East Herts District Council are hosting a public touchdown site for the project. Looking at developing the flexible volunteering element. The #TeamHerts Volunteering member of staff will work one day a week to support the public and East Herts organisations to access flexible volunteering.
The steering group is made up of a range of organisations and charities that work with different people from across Hertfordshire.
